Chapter 2Verse 15
Sankhya Yoga
यं हि न व्यथयन्त्येते पुरुषं पुरुषर्षभ। समदुःखसुखं धीरं सोऽमृतत्वाय कल्पते॥
yaṁ hi na vyathayanty ete puruṣaṁ puruṣarṣabha, sama-duḥkha-sukhaṁ dhīraṁ so 'mṛtatvāya kalpate
Meaning
The same events hit everyone. What changes is whether they knock you over. Someone who stays level through both a good day and a bad one isn't suppressing anything. They've just stopped handing their stability over to whatever the day brings.
Stay level through the good days and the bad ones. That steadiness is what lasts.
